Native American Prayers, for the New Year ... and Every Day --by Chief Seattle, Black Elk, and Tecumseh

Prayer to The Four Directions - Chief Seattle

Great Spirit of Light, come to me out of the East (red) with the power of the rising sun. Let there be light in my words, let there be light on my path that I walk. Let me remember always that you give the gift of a new day. And never let me be burdened with sorrow by not starting over again.

Great Spirit of Love, come to me with the power of the North (white). Make me courageous when the cold wind falls upon me. Give me strength and endurance for everything that is harsh, everything that hurts, everything that makes me squint. Let me move through life ready to take what comes from the north.

John Edward Appears on "Anderson Cooper"; Surprises Camera Crew With Readings

ACOF Administration:  We are currently learning at meditation how to work with our gifts, and I happened to see this Anderson Cooper program yesterday.  It will be helpful for you to see how this information comes through as you work with your own gifts.

I See You --by Mark Nepo

I See You!
I Am Here!

For centuries, African Bushmen have greeted each other in this way. When the one becomes aware of his brother or sister coming out of the brush, he exclaims, "I See You!" and then the one approaching rejoices, "I Am Here!"

This timeless bearing witness is both simple and profound, and it is telling that much of our modern therapeutic journey is suffered to this end: to have who we are and where we've been be seen. For with this simple and direct affirmation it is possible to claim our own presence, to say, I Am Here.

The Wisdom of a Leaf: Thich Nhat Hanh --by Elisha Goldstein, Ph.D.

I was sitting with a friend recently who told me that he was resting in his backyard bringing mindfulness to the sounds and sights around him when he had an insight. The trees and leaves around him in some way were just like him. No, he wasn’t on any psychedelics or intoxicants, he just had this awareness that he was not really that separate from the nature around him.

In that moment he said he felt incredibly connected and the worries that had surrounded him before seemed to drift away as a feeling of belonging arose. Belonging is the essence of well-being.
